Legacy was the lead-agency for Carling’s 2018 through the line marketing campaign promoting their sponsorship of the Premier League. The ‘Play on a Premier League Pitch’ campaign offered consumers throughout Ireland the once in a life time chance to play a match in the Etihad Stadium, home to Premier League Champions, Manchester City.
The role included managing the cross-agency campaign which produced a really impactful out-of-home, digital and media campaign. Legacy managed the communications campaign which included a hugely successful PR launch with ex England captain Bryan Robson. The team also managed other key aspects of the campaign including in-bar premier league screenings, live outside broadcasts with media partners Off the Ball and the competition trip itself which saw 50 competition winners travel to Manchester.
The campaign was a huge success for carling and helped increase sales while maintaining their #4 position in the market.
