Active Iron wanted to partner with an agency to help them grow their website traffic and increase their direct online sales.
Targeting top of funnel keywords allowed us to grow traffic much quicker, helping us bring relevant traffic to the site that could be funnelled into the online store with clever CTA’s, or added to lists for retargeting.
Despite not speaking German or Dutch, our team was able to do keyword research and guide content creation for those markets that ranked, drove relevant traffic & helped grow the brand recognition within those markets.
Being able to pivot in a crisis is paramount to success, when the pandemic hit, Active Iron switched a lot more marketing focus towards online channels, which resulted in a big increase in online sales.
Active Iron wanted to partner with an agency to help them grow their website traffic and increase their direct online sales. As well as targeting English speaking markets they also wanted to grow into international markets like Germany, The Netherlands and China.
Instead of trying to rank directly for keywords like “best iron supplement”, we sought to answer questions that their ideal customer would ask like “when is the best time to take iron” or “how to take iron pills without getting sick”.
Pieces like these were good because not only did they are easier to rank and have higher search volumes that drive more traffic, but they were very relevant to the product because Active Iron is very gentle on the stomach in comparison to other iron supplements.
This meant a question like “how can I take iron pills without getting sick” could logically be answered with “take Active Iron, as it doesn’t make you sick and is gentle on your stomach”
The approach saw phenomenal results, with a huge increase across the board, meeting and exceeding all KPI’s
• 1,529% increase in website traffic within 10 months
• 325% increase in direct website sales within 10 months
• 216% increase in German traffic within 10 months
• Their website became a key part of their sales machine, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic affected their main model of selling.
